The video battle between Farmy.ch and Aldi goes into the next round
With the launch of its «Shopping Like an Adult» campaign, Farmy parodied Aldi’s commercial «Here Come the Aldi Kids!» The discount retailer responded with a clip in which employees explain that «Aldi kids» also buy quality products—just at a lower price. As proof, they cite the farmer «Peter from A.,» who remains anonymous. He is said to supply both Aldi and Farmy. A new video calls this into question.

In the second round of the little video battle, Farmy investigates the question of who the ominous farmer "Mr. P. from A." is supposed to be. The video is structured like a news program and asks: "Is it really a real Swiss farmer?".
A small picture gallery with source reference shows that the alleged farmer "Peter" is part of the iStock portfolios of a user named "Shotbydave" and ALDI has therefore once again used purchased image material.
Farmy also writes that it is possible for its producers to supply Aldi Suisse. It is only important that their producers comply with the quality standards of Farmy and the food certificates cooperating with them. The question of whether the business relationships between the producers in question and Aldi Suisse are subject to the same fair conditions remains open. Farmy has announced that it will soon provide viewers with more detailed information on whether Farmy and Aldi Suisse are partly supplied by the same producers. Incidentally, apart from the labeled stock images, only real Farmy employees can be seen and heard in the new Farmy clip.
