The invisible movie

Old Spice and Wieden+Kennedy surprise the audience once again. With an invisible feature film.

"Invisible World" lasts over two hours and is not a radio play. It's an invisible movie. It promotes the Invisible Deodorant Spray from Old Spice, which not only has no smell but also nothing to see. The speakers are fans cast via Twitter. The YouTube description:

"Imagine that a deodorant brand were brave enough, crazy enough, to run with an idea as irresponsible and foolhardy as financing a full-length invisible movie that you can't actually see. Now imagine what that would look like. Now stop imagining, because it's happening. Wait, sorry, keep imagining, because there's nothing to see."

The movie is designed not to be seen because there is nothing to see. But of course, it's appealing. The science fiction "thriller" is about an 18-year-old boy who lives in an invisible world. Impressively portrayed through "mindblowing invisible video effects".

The movie has countless surprises in store. For example, there is a reunion with Mr. Wolfdog, the former Marketing Manager from Old Spice (at 1:34:00). And after 24:45, 30:10 and 59:00 minutes, a picture even becomes visible. The numerous, mostly enthusiastic YouTube comments also suggest that there is - or would be - an infinite amount to discover in the evening filler. For example, the Chinese are supposed to speak Japanese consistently - as befits a trash production.

Incidentally, the movie also has a IMDb entry and currently has a phenomenal score of 9.7 points. After six reviews. As a precaution, the film poster already has a placeholder laurel wreath for awards: "Awards Might Be Coming". They could probably really come - but the recipient would be Wieden+Kennedy. (hae)
