Switzerland Tourism gets a new headquarters steeped in history
The Switzerland Tourism marketing organization will relocate within Zurich and move into a new headquarters by the beginning of 2019 at the latest.

This was reported by the SonntagsZeitung in its latest edition. As spokesman Markus Berger told the newspaper, the expiring lease has been used to improve the office situation. This means: more office space at the same rental costs. Switzerland Tourism's head office is currently located at Toedistrasse 7 in Zurich.
The future property is the old Stadthalle in Zurich's District 4. The listed building on Morgartenstrasse was a popular meeting and event venue for Zurich's working class until the 1940s. As the Stadthalle, built in 1905, was run by a private restaurateur, there were no regulations regarding the serving of alcohol or political neutrality - unlike pubs such as the Volkshaus.
The town hall was sold last year and is currently being made suitable for office use. The town hall is currently being used as a car repair shop. (hae)
