Blocher's plans for a Sunday newspaper are off the table for the time being
As Christoph Blocher said in an interview with *Schweiz am Sonntag*, plans for a separate Sunday newspaper are off the table—at least «for now.».

The question of whether he can work with the Purchase of Zehnder Publishing House and the nearly 800,000 readers associated with it, Blocher evades the question: "BaZ Holding has taken over these newspapers. They are local newspapers that focus on small-scale events," he says. "That is the political intention."
He says it's understandable that opponents, "who profit from all the fake news and media stew," are worried. "The fact that they overestimate us like this is something you have to accept," Blocher says in response to a question about the threat of a "Berlusconization" of the Swiss media landscape. What he wants, he says, is press diversity.
"For the moment," he said, the project for a Sunday newspaper is off the table. What this means for the future, however, Blocher leaves open: "Time will tell," says the SVP chief strategist. (hae)
