Unic expands Board of Directors and strengthens expertise in IT and consulting
Unic has appointed Tönnies von Donop, an experienced IT and consulting expert, to its board of directors. With this appointment, the agency is further expanding its expertise and capabilities for complex digital projects.

In addition to Tönnies von Donop, Stephan Handschin will also be rejoining the Board of Directors with immediate effect. As one of the founders of Unic, Handschin has been with the company for over 20 years and has held several roles. Together with existing Board members Rudolf Meyer, Gerrit Taaks and Markus Haschka, von Donop and Handschin will expand and strengthen the business in the DACH region in a future-oriented manner.
"We are delighted about the new addition of Tönnies von Donop and the return of Stephan Handschin to our Board of Directors. Unic is thus gaining two extremely experienced and accomplished members who will provide us with valuable support and creative impetus," says Rudolf Meyer, founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Unic, about the appointments.
Tönnies von Donop has been working in the IT and consulting industry for over 30 years. He founded Donop Consult GmbH in Berlin in 1984 and worked there as managing partner until the merger with PSI AG in 1993. He then took on the role of Head of the Public Sector division at PSI AG before moving to Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in 1995. As Partner and Managing Director of Accenture, Tönnies von Donop was responsible for the systems integration and technology business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
In this role, he was responsible for 3,500 employees and a turnover of around 1.2 billion US dollars. In 2009, he took over the approximately USD 4 billion system integration business in Europe, Latin America and Africa.
Over the course of his career, Tönnies von Donop has managed large and complex IT projects with several hundred employees in a wide range of industries for well-known major clients. In 2012 and 2013, following his retirement from Accenture, he took on the task of restructuring the company's global consulting business as COO Global Consulting Services and Member of the Group Executive Board of Software. Today, von Donop is a member of the Supervisory Board and a consultant.
In addition to his role on Unic's Board of Directors, Tönnies von Donop will profitably contribute his broad expertise in e-business to all areas of the company. With his profound industry and market know-how, he will drive forward Unic's growth strategies in the German market.
"Unic is one of the largest e-business service providers in Switzerland and has been successfully designing and implementing digital projects for renowned customers for over 20 years. I am proud to be part of this company," explains Tönnies von Donop. "I am looking forward to working with Unic and, in particular, to making my experience and expertise available so that we can continue to drive and expand our success together."
