Thomy Scherrer gives up moderation of the "Club" for rehabilitation
SRF host Thomy Scherrer suffered a stroke in late 2016. His recovery is progressing well, but his rehabilitation is not yet complete. Thomy Scherrer has now decided to step down as host of «Club.».

Thomy Scherrer, 57, had a stroke in November 2016. He is still undergoing outpatient rehabilitation and is making good progress with his recovery. However, Thomy Scherrer has now decided to hand over the moderation of "Club" and not return to the discussion show.
Thomy Scherrer on the reasons for this step: "The ClubModeration is a high-energy job. How well I will recover in terms of energy resources is impossible to predict at the moment. Experts say that it will take up to two years before you can make a definitive assessment. Cognitively, I have practically regained my former abilities. For this reason, a low-percentage radio workload is a realistic career option later on." According to an SRF press release, Thomy Scherrer asks that people respect the fact that rest is still an important factor in his recovery.
Since the end of April, Urs Gredig has been presenting the "Club" in place of Thomy Scherrer. Until his departure from SRF, he will continue to alternate with Karin Frei in welcoming guests to the "Club". Urs Gredig is expected to conduct his last interview on September 19.
