Icelandic water

The whole world revolves around vodka. Not just any vodka, of course. Reyka, an Icelandic creation that makes everything else in life seem trivial.

The guy in the four commercials doesn't care about anything - except his vodka. When asked about the Icelanders' favorite food, he answers "hot dogs" very convincingly after his idea-seeking gaze lingers suspiciously long on the picture of a puffin. Why do Icelanders attach so much importance to their beards? They are a wonderful hiding place for small bottles of vodka. Icelanders like football, of course, but if the round comes too close to the bottle, their enthusiasm for sport quickly wanes.

The water for this water is said to be particularly pure, as it is Arctic spring water. The energy for distillation comes from geothermal energy. Reyka distillery is the first in Iceland and is located just over 70 kilometers outside Reykjavik. Speaking of Reykjavik: according to the Icelander in the clip, that should actually be the name of the vodka, but unfortunately the name was too long for the label.

Reyka pays well for the special appearance and the high-quality ingredients; the 0.7 liter bottle costs well over 40 francs. So the guy is quite right to keep it safe. (nod)
