Adidas wearing advertising for Nike - just do it
Cristiano Ronaldo is promoting Nike with an old photo—while wearing Adidas.

Two days ago, world footballer Cristiano Ronaldo posted an ad from his crown sponsor Nike on Instagram and other social media. It shows him in his younger days - with the caption: This boy knew. A hit: in this short time, the photo collected over 3.2 million likes on Instagram alone.

He knew what he wanted - he was never lacking in ambition. But he also knew what he was wearing: a sweater from Nike's arch-enemy Adidas. Did the Nike marketing department really assume that the original photo would remain under lock and key when they sent the Adidas logo with a black gradient to the eternal hunting grounds? It's hard to imagine, because the transparency of social media doesn't usually forgive mistakes anyway. Unsurprisingly, the hoax was exposed on Twitter only a short time later:
I find it hilarious you were actually wearing an Adidas jumper in this photo xD pic.twitter.com/q5AQ5alDFy

Calculated provocation or "nobody will notice"? Probably not even Ronaldo himself knows the answer to that. (hae)
