Michael Sprecher appointed new Head of Magazine Publishing at AZ Medien

Michael Sprecher is taking over as head of AZ Medien's magazine publishing division, succeeding Maike Juchler, who left the company at her own request.

The 53-year-old will take over as Head of Magazine Publishing by November 1, 2017 at the latest and in this role will report directly to Roland Kühne, Managing Director Media Switzerland and member of the Executive Board. AZ Zeitschriftenverlag includes special-interest titles such as Wireltern, Kochen, Fit For Life, and Natürlich, as well as various trade magazines.

Michael Sprecher has previously held various management positions at Ringier, where he has headed reader market units such as retail sales, sales, CRM or strategic projects since 2008. Before that, he worked at Tamedia with various publishing tasks in the advertising market as well as project coordinator at NZZ.

Sprecher began his media career as an advertising assistant at Tages-Anzeiger / SonntagsZeitung and continued his education to become a marketing planner and advertising manager. In 2014, he completed the Executive MBA, General Management at the HTW in Chur.
