On Wednesday evening at 8 p.m., the Republic the Swiss record for crowdfunding - and just one day later the world record tumbles: as of Thursday, 2:30 pm, Medium Republik is the largest media crowdfunding in the world. The record was previously held by De Correspondent from the Netherlands with 1.7 million dollars. At 1:30 a.m. on Friday, the mark stands at a good two million francs.

On Thursday morning, the creators announced that they would create an eleventh editorial position when they reached 7,000 members. This mark was cracked at half past two.

The goal is already clear: "We are conducting the largest and most elaborate research in Switzerland. By opening up a budget for four monster investigations a year: Each story costs an average of 60,000 francs. We will definitely include the budget for the four monster investigations in the concept for the Republic as soon as we have 9,000 members," the initiators wrote on Thursday evening.

After the great success of the last two days, it is foreseeable that the next target will also be reached in the foreseeable future - and is only a matter of time. (hae)
