The hiking magazine Bergwelten-Switzerland launches on April 12
Red Bull Media House is launching the first issue of Bergwelten Schweiz on April 12, 2017. The aim of the new Swiss hiking magazine is to reach a broad readership.

From pleasure hikers to hut connoisseurs, mountain sports enthusiasts and bikers to families and nature lovers, the aim is to appeal to all people who are active in the mountains or simply love the mountains.
Pilatus makes a big appearance in the launch issue of Bergwelten Schweiz. We also hike through the Lower Engadine, enjoy the cherry blossom in the Fricktal and visit the Hundsteinhütte in the Alpstein. Bergwelten always goes on trips - this time to Norway - and with an extensive test, everyone can find the right e-mountainbike.

Editor-in-chief Christian Andiel is particularly pleased about two well-known columnists: "In addition to the existing columnist Reinhold Messner, who will also share his experiences with Swiss readers, Nik Hartmann and Thomas Widmer will surprise, delight and entertain with their columns." SRF radio and television presenter Nik Hartmann is known for his TV show 'SRF bi de Lüt' and his stage program "Nik Hartmann live". Thomas Widmer is a journalist, columnist and author of numerous hiking books. He writes the hiking column "Zu Fuss" in the Tages-Anzeiger newspaper.

"Nik Hartmann and Thomas Widmer are high-profile and multi-faceted personalities who write for Bergwelten and enjoy the highest level of popularity and acceptance among the Swiss," Andiel said in a statement.
The initial circulation of Bergwelten is 100,000 copies in German-speaking Switzerland. The magazine is available as a subscription and at a copy price of CHF 9 at newsstands. Companies such as Ochsner Sport and Swissrent have been won as cooperation partners.
