FDP National Councilor Fathi Derder becomes new Editor-in-Chief of L'Agefi
There is a change at the helm of L'Agefi, the business newspaper of French-speaking Switzerland. Fathi Derder, a National Council member from Vaud representing the FDP, will become the new editor-in-chief. He succeeds François Schaller, who is stepping down at his own request.

The 62-year-old Schaller will devote himself to other projects and remain with Wirtschaftsblatt as a freelancer and columnist, as the publisher announced on Tuesday at the request of the SDA news agency. This confirms a report by Bilan. Fathi Derder will take over as editor-in-chief on May 1.
The Vaud FDP National Councillor has already worked for numerous media outlets in French-speaking Switzerland. He began his career at the Journal de Morges before working for French-speaking Swiss radio (RTS) for ten years from 1998. He was involved in the launch of the French-speaking Swiss television station La Télé and wrote columns for the newspapers Le Matin, L'Agefi and Le Temps. Most recently, he worked for the local Lausanne radio station LFM. The father of four has been a member of the National Council for the FDP since 2011. Derder is also Senior Advisor at Farner Consulting. (SDA/hae)
