Saving water in a different way

To mark World Water Day, Café Royal is sending a surprising message to all coffee lovers. The ad, created by Serviceplan Suisse, calls on people to conserve drinking water.

For over twenty years, the UN has been drawing attention to the critical water issues of our time every year on March 22. This also includes an appeal for the conscious use of drinking water. Serviceplan Suisse developed a special advertisement for Café Royal especially for this day, which calls on people to save water in a surprising way. The Swiss coffee manufacturer recommends enjoying a ristretto, which is known to require significantly less water to prepare.

If coffee lovers in Switzerland only drank ristretto for a day, around 2.8 million liters of water could be saved. An impressive figure that could perhaps persuade one or two connoisseurs to change their behavior in the short term.
