Jon Erni takes over at Microsoft Public Sector
Jon Erni, a native of Graubünden, is taking over as head of the Public Sector at Microsoft Switzerland.

After four years at the helm of Microsoft Switzerland's key account business, Jon Erni is taking over as head of the Public Sector business unit. He takes over this role from Tom Kleiber, who will focus on strategic initiatives in the context of digital transformation in the future. Dr. Marianne Janik, CEO Microsoft Switzerland: "With Jon Erni, we have been able to recruit a personality as Head of Public Sector who has many years of experience in the ICT sector, knows the needs of large companies and public institutions, and has excellent networks in Switzerland." Marianne Janik will take over the vacant role of Head of Large Accounts on an interim basis.
Jon Erni is a profound expert in the technology and telecommunications industry and joined Microsoft Switzerland in 2012 as Head of Key Accounts (EPG). Prior to that, he headed the business customer division of Sunrise for almost three years. From 1999 to 2009, he held various management positions at Alcatel Lucent Switzerland, most recently as interim Managing Director. As a co-initiator of "mia Engiadina", Jon Erni has made a name for himself throughout Switzerland in recent years. With this project, he has demonstrated the opportunities that digitalization offers to rural areas. Jon Erni is a Dipl. El.-ing. ETH and holds an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen (HSG). Born in Graubünden, he is 48 years old, married and father of a daughter.
