Wanted: Advertising agency trainee - minimum age 65 years

The Lucerne-based advertising agency Rocket is venturing an unusual experiment: the young creative team is looking for an intern (m/f) in the Account Coordination department - the minimum age is 65.

Marketing departments and advertising agencies fill their internship positions almost exclusively with digital natives, young people under the age of 30 who want to take the plunge into the coveted communications industry right after completing their studies or vocational training. Employers are hoping for creativity, motivation, a thirst for knowledge and much more from these young people. It seems as if there is a general belief that only young people fit into a young team. But is this really true? Aren't older people at least as inquisitive, creative and motivated? Rocket is looking for an answer to these questions.

The intern should gain insights into the dynamic world of marketing and advertising through the work. Perhaps the internship will serve as the basis for a new professional challenge, or perhaps it will simply serve as an enriching experience for both parties. According to the statement, the Rocket team is convinced that this is also a new, interesting experience for advertisers and that new perspectives can be gained.

With their short video #TooYoungToFeedTheBirds, the Rocket team deliberately wants to address young-at-heart, active retirees - people who want to gain new experience in a young creative team instead of killing time by feeding birds.

Applications are accepted from January through February, and the three-month internship takes place from April through June.
