Federal prosecutor warned ARD
The Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (BA) is taken aback by the appearance of Nora Illi, a veiled woman from the Central Council of Islam in Germany (IZRS), on ARD.

The OAG informed the program "Anne Will" that criminal proceedings are pending in Switzerland against an IZRS board member. On Tuesday, the OAG confirmed a corresponding report by Tagesanzeiger/Newsnetz at the request of the news agency SDA: "The Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland is irritated that the IZRS is being offered a platform on public television".
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against a member of the IZRS board and against unknown persons "for violating the federal law banning the groups "Al-Qaeda" and "Islamic State and related organizations".
The appearance on the German public television channel's discussion program "Anne Will" on Sunday evening caused a stir in the media and on social media in Germany and Switzerland. The ISRS represents only a tiny minority of Muslims in Switzerland and advocates extremist Islam.
The "Anne Will" editorial team confirmed that they had been in contact with the BA before the program was broadcast. However, they did not explicitly advise against inviting the woman. "For the chosen topic of the program and in combination with the other guests, we considered and still consider her participation to be justifiable and appropriate," the editors responsible for the talk show stated. The IZRS and its "women's representative"
Nora Illi, who never appears in public without the nikab, which only covers her eyes, always manages to attract lively media coverage with spectacular actions and appearances. In the summer, for example, the convert demonstratively defied the ban on veiling in Ticino in order to provoke a fine. Back in May 2010, the woman appeared on the discussion program "Club" on Swiss television SRF. (SDA)
