Tagblatt wants to become an official journal
The Tagblatt der Stadt Zürich is applying for the official gazette license and, with Lokalinfo, has a new co-shareholder.

In August, the City of Zurich's official gazette concession for the years 2017 to 2022 was put out to tender again. The Tagblatt der Stadt Zürich is applying for this concession. In addition, the shareholder base is being expanded. Lokalinfo, publisher of various Zurich neighborhood and local newspapers, took over 20 percent of the Tagblatt der Stadt Zürich from its main shareholder Tamedia on November 1.
As a result, the Tamedia media group will in future still hold 65 percent of the shares, while the NZZ media group will continue to hold a 15 percent stake. With its three shareholders, the Tagblatt der Stadt Zürich combines local roots, many years of experience in newspaper production and the advantages of a regional advertising network.
Urs Lauffer, Vice President of Lokalinfo, joins the representatives of NZZ and Tamedia on the Board of Directors of Tagblatt der Stadt Zürich.
The Tagblatt der Stadt Zürich was founded in 1730 as "Donnerstags-Nachrichten" (Thursday News) and has been published as the city's official gazette since 1863. With stories about Zurich, the city magazine reaches 106,000 readers every week.
