Switzers: book vernissage
The book on Reiner Roduner's project Swizzers celebrated its vernissage in Zurich.

People from 193 nations live in Switzerland. This remarkable circumstance has moved the advertising film producer and photographer Reiner Roduner to realize his project Switzers. After the large-scale exhibition in Zurich in 2015 with photos up to ten meters high, the vernissage of the 444-page book Switzers - the 193 nations of Switzerland has now taken place.

300 guests met at the premises of the Zurich film production company Absolutturnus Film to celebrate this event. Among them many advertisers and media professionals.

In this unique illustrated book, which Reiner Roduner worked on for two years with a few close friends, such as the cameraman Roli Schmid, the documentary filmmaker Paul Riniker and the make-up artists Bea and Kim Petri, there are not only very personal photographs of the people portrayed. One is also taken on a journey around the world. Many of the protagonists have designed their pages themselves. This has resulted in humorous, emotional, interesting and exotic texts and images.


196 authors from 193 nations and a team of 44 specialists have made this extraordinary book possible.
"After only four weeks, the book is already out of print in Swiss bookstores, which totally overwhelms me," Roduner says. "Fortunately, we still have an edition reserved for us." The book costs 98 francs and can be ordered via Switzers.ch be ordered.
