Energy Group takes over Moon and Stars Festival
Management of the long-standing Moon and Stars Locarno festival will be transferred to the Energy Group effective October 1. With this move, Switzerland’s leading private radio group is further expanding its diverse event portfolio.
Ringier transfers the management of the Moon and Stars Festival in Locarno to the Energy Group. In recent years, the Energy Group has developed from Switzerland's leading private radio group into a diversified entertainment company with successful activities in the areas of radio, events, online and TV. The takeover of the management of the Moon and Stars festival is a logical consequence of the strategic development of the Energy Group. Energy, which already has a diverse event portfolio with Energy Air, Energy Stars For Free, Energy Fashion Night, Energy Live Sessions, Energy Red Sessions and Energy Movie Night, will be responsible for the entire organization of the unique festival on Locarno's historic piazza from 1 October. The Moon and Stars Festival will continue to be run by the Ringier subsidiary MSF Moon and Stars Festivals.
With the reorganization, the mandate relationship with André Béchir and ABC Production will be terminated. André Béchir will continue to be available to the CEO of Ringier as a consultant for developments in the events market. The new organization for the Moon and Stars Festival is the consistent focusing and bundling of Ringier's entertainment events at the Energy Group.
The Board of Directors of MSF Moon and Stars Festivals now consists of Chairman Marc Walder (CEO Ringier), Annabella Bassler (CFO Ringier) and Dani Büchi (CEO Energy Group) as Delegate of the Board of Directors. We want to make this traditional event once again one of the brightest shining stars in the Swiss festival sky." MSF Moon and Stars Festivals is wholly owned by Ringier. The date of the 14th edition of the Moon and Stars Festival is expected to be announced at the end of October.
