The rapid changes in the media world are not stopping at TVO in Eastern Switzerland: Younger people in particular are increasingly finding information on the web. TVO therefore wants to significantly strengthen its online presence and expand its offering. Plans include a mobile app and the integration of TVO into moving image web portals. A prerequisite for this is even closer cooperation with Radio FM1 and the online portal FM1Today in the joint newsroom. TVO's core task, however, remains the production of the daily one-hour TV program from and about Eastern Switzerland. It, too, is to be reviewed and gradually modernized in the coming months.

As part of the station's realignment and restructuring, the previous head of programming, Daniel Sager, will leave the company at the end of this year. Daniel Sager has been with TVO since 2008 and initially worked in program production. In 2012, he became program director and developed the current program format "60 Minutes." He is best known to viewers as an eloquent presenter and the face of the show. A decision on Daniel Sager's successor will be made in the coming months. On an interim basis, News chief Thomas Bächle will lead the editorial team.
