Tamedia takes over Forum Executive
On 1 October 2016, Tamedia will take over the event organizer Forum Executive. The company organizes conferences, seminars and symposia for the business newspaper Finanz und Wirtschaft.
The Tamedia media group is investing in the event business with the acquisition of Forum Executive. The forums are particularly popular in the financial sector and thus strengthen the Finanz und Wirtschaft brand, as stated in the press release. Mark Dittli, Editor-in-Chief of Finanz und Wirtschaft: "We are delighted that we will be able to work even more closely with the professional team at Forum Executive in future. Together, we will continue to expand the Finanz und Wirtschaft forums in order to bring together the important exponents of the business world in the future."
Forum Executive was founded in 2012 by Boris Berger and Jochen Gutbrod and, under the direction of Pascal Novotny, has been organizing successful, topic-related conferences for the financial and business community since 2013, such as the "Fintech Forum", the "Forum Vision Bank - Vision Financial Centre Switzerland" and the "Fund Experts Forum". The events are aimed at executives from banks, insurance companies, pension funds, asset managers and decision-makers from medium-sized and large companies in other industries and sectors.
Forum Executive employs eight people at its headquarters in Zurich's Werdstrasse, all of whom will be taken over by Tamedia. The sister company in Germany is not part of the takeover. The parties have agreed not to disclose details of the transaction.
