TV24 becomes official TV partner of Uefa
TV24 secures the live rights for the qualifying matches for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. On each match day, the top match will be broadcast live.
From September 2016, the station will broadcast a total of twelve live matches from the European qualifiers, including the play-offs. The first match to be broadcast will be Norway versus Germany on September 4, followed by the classic Italy versus Spain on October 6. Two more outstanding affairs will follow later this year. The live matches will be broadcast to UEFA's highest quality standards.
Having already broadcast live various IAAF Diamond League athletics meetings, matches of the World Cup of Hockey as well as the Swiss Fed Cup team, and top soccer matches such as the Europa League playoff game GC vs. Limassol, TV24 is once again underlining its commitment to sports with the broadcast of the World Cup qualifiers.
In addition to a total of twelve top live qualifying matches without Swiss participation, the rights package also includes a weekly summary of all other qualifying matches. In addition, there will be pre- and post-match coverage in each case, as well as expert interviews in the TV24 sports studio during the half-time break.
