Instruction manual for contemporary advertising
The young film production company Hillton presents itself with an unconventional, self-deprecating showreel.

The most beautiful pictures, the most famous faces, the most prestigious clients and good music - that's what a classic showreel in the advertising industry looks like. The young Swiss film company Hillton has decided to break new ground in self-promotion. In the context of a showreel, they demonstrate with a self-deprecating instruction manual what contemporary moving image advertising should look like today. The Zurich filmmakers are not afraid to take a charming look at themselves and thus also at the Swiss advertising industry.
The film features the bon vivant "Tony" who, with his grumpy voice and nonchalant manner, guides viewers through a powerful visual world of Hillton's recent work. With irony and wit, Tony talks about what it takes to create fresh advertising and guarantee attention. Incidentally, Tony, whose full name is Tony de Maeyer, is currently starring alongside world footballer Lionel Messi in an international campaign for Lay Chips to see.
Hillton was founded a year ago by filmmakers Kris Lüdi and Tobias Bonfanti and now has a team of six. In just one year, the young Zurichers have already shot various commercials for nationwide campaigns such as Hotelplan, Sprüngli, Stucard.ch and Calanda.
