Markus Schulte new CEO of Olmero
Markus Schulte, co-founder of Olmero, is taking over as the company's CEO effective immediately. The previous CEO, Oliver Behnen, has decided to leave Olmero after about 16 years to pursue new challenges.
However, he will be available to Olmero for some time to accompany the transition. Around 16 years ago, Olmero was founded jointly by Markus Schulte and Oliver Behnen as a spin-off from ETH Zurich.
"I am very pleased to take on the role of CEO, even though I have always greatly appreciated working with Oliver Behnen," says Markus Schulte. The previous CEO Oliver Behnen explains: "Now that the completion of the integration of Olmero into Tamedia is foreseeable, I find the timing ideal to say goodbye to a well-positioned company around a great team after around 16 years."
Olmero offers Internet-based solutions for the Swiss construction industry and employs a total of around 80 people at locations in Zurich, Glattbrugg, Basel, Puidoux and Neuss, Germany. Olmero is part of the leading private Swiss media group Tamedia.
The management of the Swiss media group Tamedia, which holds a majority stake in Olmero, thanks Oliver Behnen for his cooperation and commitment and wishes Markus Schulte every success in his new duties.
