TV24 signs Reif and Yakin
TV24 shows top matches from the European Championship qualifiers. Marcel Reif and Murat Yakin have been engaged as experts.

From September 2016, TV24 will broadcast a total of twelve live matches from the European qualifiers, including the play-offs for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. For the first TV24 sports studio, the broadcaster has engaged the two football experts Marcel Reif and Murat Yakin. Reif is a trained journalist and has worked as a football commentator for ZDF, RTL and Sky, among others, for three decades. The 67-year-old has been voted Germany's best sports commentator several times. During his successful career, Murat Yakin played for various European clubs and made 49 appearances for the Swiss national team. Most recently, the 38-year-old coached the Russian first division club Spartak Moscow. Gabriel Oldham has been recruited as presenter. At the age of 33, he already has a great deal of presenting experience and sound expertise in the field of sport. He previously presented children's and youth programs for SRF and sports programs for SSF and TV24. TV24 relies on the expertise and experience of Adrian Fetscherin for its commentary.

The first match to be broadcast will be Norway v Germany on September 4, followed by the classic Italy v Spain match on October 6. Two more outstanding matches will follow this year. The live matches will be broadcast in accordance with Uefa's high-quality standards.
Having already broadcast various IAAF Diamond League athletics meetings, matches from the World Cup of Hockey and the Swiss Fed Cup team as well as top football matches such as the Europa League play-off game between GC and Limassol live, TV24 wants to underline its commitment to the sports sector once again by broadcasting the World Cup qualifiers. In addition to a total of twelve top live qualifying matches without Swiss participation, the rights package also includes a weekly summary of all other qualifying matches.
