Bandara: With Virtual Reality to Tanzania
Bandara, a Zurich-based virtual reality content studio, has created a VR experience for the Pestalozzi Children's Village Foundation that teleports viewers directly to a school in Tanzania.
"Ezekiel's Dream" is a six-minute virtual reality film about everyday school life in the village of Songambele. It centers on 11-year-old student Ezekiel and his teacher Selena. The film takes the viewer to Ezekiel's home, to Selena's geography lessons and to the schoolyard, where 900 children sing the school's song. In this way, it is possible to experience at first hand how the Pestalozzi Children's Foundation is committed to providing the children of Songambele with a good education and thus a future full of prospects.
The virtual reality experience is shown in the context of the special exhibition "Tanzania 360°", which the Pestalozzi Children's Village in Trogen opened on its 70th anniversary two weeks ago. This Monday, Federal Councilor Didier Burkhalter was a guest and immersed himself in "Ezekiel's Dream" with VR glasses.

Remo Schläpfer, Head of Media & Campaigns at the Pestalozzi Children's Foundation: "We don't just want to tell our donors about our projects abroad, we want to make them come alive. Virtual reality is perfect for this: The viewer feels as if he is actually on site in Tanzania. It's not for nothing that VR is called "the ultimate empathy machine.""

Ezekiel's Dream" was conceived and implemented by Bandara. The Zurich-based virtual reality content studio was founded in 2015 and has since implemented 360° content for various well-known brands, including Cailler (on behalf of the Jung von Matt agency), Samsung (on behalf of Equipe) or Switzerland Tourism (on behalf of SMLY). In addition, the young company recently streamed an event live in 360° for the first time in Switzerland in collaboration with Yoveo.
For the 360° effect to work, the trailer should be viewed in a current version of Chrome or Firefox. On the smartphone, the Youtube app is required.
