Last but not least: waste at rest
Before waste management came under fire in March, Y&R skillfully put it in the spotlight.
The NGO Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to protecting coasts and waters. Founded in 1984 in the USA out of necessity, the organization now has national branches around the world that ensure clean beaches locally. The goal is achieved through educational work, research and lobbying - but also through concrete actions, i.e. "hands-on" work. For example, there are the European Clean-up Days, on which the beaches are cleared of garbage. This year from March 17 to 20 - so it's already over. The campaign that mobilized people for this action will be remembered. It was created by Y&R Paris. Message: Don't let the garbage rest. Even if it obviously feels quite at home on the beach. By the way: garbage can also be collected outside of the "Clean Up Days". Even if it's just lying there. (hae)
