In Japan, people are usually a good step ahead of the rest of the world when it comes to "next-step-out-of-the-box-thinking." Or in other words, being off-the-wall in a way that makes people in the West shake their heads in disbelief but fascination.
With the "Song Wig," the Tokyo- and New York-based creative agency brings Party the shared music experience to the next level. The wig collection, consisting of earphones, was presented last year at an exhibition organized by the agency group "Friendly Futures" shown in Brooklyn as a prototype. The team then further developed and perfected the product. And is currently presenting it at the digital trade fair SXSW in Austin, Texas.
The Song Wig is supposed to be the latest social craze. And it probably really will be. Provided the ears are clean. The earphone overdose comes'in three varieties: Pop, Reggae and Classical. And is suitable as party fun, fashion statement and for DJs or musicians. Um, yeah. There are some things you don't really know what to make of. Maybe you do. But well, have we talked about it.
