Last but not least: Fawlty Car

For the eyewear chain Specsavers, John Cleese is taking on his car again after 35 years.

The now 76-year-old actor and comedian, who became famous as a member of Monty Python, breathes new life into a cult scene from his 1975 series "Fawly Towers" in a commercial. Back then, in the role of Basil Fawlty, the overworked hotel manager who never puts his foot wrong, he became violent with his stubborn car.

He is now doing that again. But times have changed: Cars talk. But they are still stubborn. And they drive Fawlty mad as ever. And that's a good thing, you might say. Incidentally, Cleese and a team from Specsaver were personally responsible for creating the commercial. Punchline included. (hae)
