Who's McQueen: Nepal's Great Himalayan Trails
Who's McQueen Picture is luring adventurers and active vacationers to the Great Himalayan Trails in Nepal with a film.
The hiking and trekking trails through the highest mountains in the world provide a view of a beautiful country. Here are images that burn into the retina and high mountain impressions that take your breath away - these are the Great Himalayan Trails in Nepal.
Almost forgotten by current affairs dramas, Nepal was hit by a fatal earthquake in May this year. To put the battered country and its inhabitants back on the map, MCQ director Jyri Pasanen set out to show the diversity on offer, especially to adventure-seeking bikers, trekkers and yoga enthusiasts. For the other people involved, cameraman Ralph Beatschmann, the drone pilot from Luftruum and producer Philipp Petersson, this project was also a matter of the heart. Although supported by the Nepalese Ministry of Tourism, this production was financed with a very small budget.

"Shortly after sunrise, the jingling of the stonemasons began in the mountains and did not stop until sunset. The people left to their own devices still have a lot of work ahead of them, and the reconstruction is far from complete" - says Jyri Pasanen (pictured above & below). "Detailed planning won't get you much in Nepal. Embrace the chaos as intimately as you can and if you're lucky, you'll come home with a movie and a thousand-and-one stories. Our hearts are still with the people in the mountains."
