Bernerbär: Markus Ehinger becomes editorial director

Markus Ehinger will assume editorial responsibility for the Bern-based weekly newspaper Bernerbär in the first quarter of 2016.

The native of the city of Berne graduated from the Ringier School of Journalism and earned a Master of Law degree from the University of Berne. The 39-year-old started his professional career at the Zofinger Tagblatt. Further stations led him to Blick am Abend and 20 Minuten, among others. Since 2013, Markus Ehinger has worked for BZ Berner Zeitung in the local editorial department. In this role, he reported on all topics that move the city of Bern - from politics and sports to culture and social events.
