David Sieber new Editor-in-Chief of BZ Basel and BZ Basellandschaftliche Zeitung

David Sieber is to become the new Editor-in-Chief of the newspapers BZ Basel and BZ Basellandschaftliche Zeitung. The 53-year-old, most recently Editor-in-Chief of the daily newspaper Südostschweiz, succeeds Matthias Zehnder, who is changing career direction.

Matthias Zehnder has been Editor-in-Chief of BZ and BZ Basellandschaftliche Zeitung since November 1, 2012. Over the past three years, he has also positioned the BZ in the city and agglomeration of Basel and made it an important voice. The bz is the only paid daily newspaper in Switzerland to have increased its circulation during this time. Having completed his development work in Basel-Stadt, Zehnder is stepping down and taking a new direction.
