Last but not least: App into the toilet with it

Toilet-goers of the world, unite! A new app is set to make it possible.

Whenever you think there's finally an app for every need in the world, you'll be proven wrong. The "Pooductive" app allows everyone sitting on a toilet somewhere to merge into one big family. Chat, play, anything is possible. "Like the shower, the toilet is an incubator for creativity. A place where thoughts are forged from outside the box. Unleash your creative power and share it with the world." - One of the many reasons that, according to Pooductive.com speak in favor of using the app.

However, there are also reasons against this: for example, every minute spent unnecessarily on the toilet is said to increase the risk of haemorrhoids. "People should go to the toilet when they really have to and not stay there for more than five minutes at most," warned Professor Alexander Herold from the Rectal Center in Mannheim already 2007.

However, Herold should be reassured: the app idea has so far only really found favor with the media. High-reach portals such as The Guardian, Huffington Post, Mirror and Comedy Central were enthusiastic about the topic. However, the spark did not really catch on with the readership. Of the 10,000 euros required Kickstarter.com collected just 184 by the deadline (but the app does exist and is available for iOS available). 115 Facebook fans, 29 Twitter followers - the number of followers is (still) limited. Perhaps people's need to chat about toilet internals with strangers is not as great as expected. The idea actually has a charitable background: through the free toilet app, the creators want to raise public awareness of the global water problem and collect money for projects in this area.
