"Marc Walder will not attend the media congress".
Ringier is leaving the Swiss Media Association. Group spokesperson Edi Estermann answers six questions from *Werbewoche* about the departure—briefly and to the point.

Werbewoche: Ringier was previously active in various VSM working groups, and Marc Walder headed the Electronic and New Media Department, among others. Are you now relinquishing all of these participations and commitments in departments and working groups with immediate effect?
Edi Estermann: Yes, the resignation is effective immediately and includes all association and association-related activities.
How large is the annual financial contribution that Ringier has made to VSM to date?
Ringier, together with Tamedia, was by far the largest contributor. Please ask the association for the exact amount.
What are the consequences of Ringier's departure for Axel Springer Switzerland?
None.
The Media Congress will take place on Sept. 10-11. Will Marc Walder still be attending there?
No.
A discussion is also planned at the media congress, in which Marc Walder should also participate. Topic: "NZZ, Tamedia and Ringier - which business model has a future?" Will Mr. Walder be taking part in it anyway?
No.
Hannes Britschgi from Ringier is the daily presenter there and also partly the head of talks. Will he still perform this function after Ringier's departure?
Yes.
