Swiss Illustrated new on Friday
August 21 is the big day: *Schweizer Illustrierte* will now be published every Friday. It will become the magazine for the weekend. The editorial content will be expanded.
New publication date, even more content: Schweizer Illustrierte remains Switzerland's biggest magazine. But it won't stop there: "We are the country's leading family magazine. That's why we want to offer families and kids even more, including carefully tested excursion recommendations for the weekend," says Urs Heller, Head of Ringier Magazines. And: SI is no longer looking for its VIPs only on stage, in front of the camera and in the stadiums: people with extraordinary talents and passions, heroes of everyday life are the new VIPs, says a Ringier release on Thursday. The editorial offering is enriched by photo reports that show Switzerland from its most beautiful side.
The editorial team is headed by the two co-editors-in-chief Stefan Regez and Werner De Schepper. For the "new start" after 104 years, there's a gentle redesign; Nina Thoenen and Ulrike Beling developed the graphic concept together with an SI team.
Next weekend, there will be a party on Pilatus Kulm. Many SI friends and stars are rocking the summit and, of course, so are readers: 200 "party places" have been advertised, 4,615 families have applied.
