Last but not least: Parade of Energy Zurich listeners
On Friday evening, about 4,000 people gathered at Bürkliplatz in Zurich for a peaceful rally in support of Radio Energy Zurich. They were protesting the station’s shutdown on December 31, 2009. Energy Zurich officials viewed the rally as a powerful show of solidarity.

In addition to Swiss pop stars such as Bligg, Stress, Adrian Stern, Baschi and Börni, numerous fan clubs were there to express their sympathy for their favorite broadcaster on banners. However, this will not be of much use. For Energy to continue provisionally on FM, the other private radio stations would have to agree to its continuation. The question is, however, whether the other players are prepared to share the advertising pie with a fourth participant.
