Essence: New Swiss graphics award

At the same time, he wants to inspire graphic designers in and from Switzerland to create something extraordinary themselves and thus give new impetus to Switzerland as a design location, according to a press release.

The aim of the judging process is to crystallize the essence of contemporary Swiss graphic design every two years and to reward groundbreaking work and its creators. The Essence Award is therefore a seal of quality for outstanding design that is recognized throughout Switzerland. Anyone who wins one of these coveted awards is definitely one of the best in their field. They can also present themselves and their work to a wide audience at the glamorous awards ceremony and in the accompanying publication.

Registration and submissions online until July 31, 2015

Commissioned works realized in the last two years in the four categories of design, illustration, interactive and motion design can be submitted - exclusively online. All the necessary information can be found on the Essence website Essence.sgv.ch to find. Individual works or series that meet the Essence15 criteria defined on the website will be judged independently of the media.

Important exponents of the various categories were engaged as members of the jury: Jürg Aemmer, Stephan Bundi, Nadine Geissbühler, Lars Müller, Patman, Thom Pfister, François Rappo and Micha Weidmann. This year's award ceremony will take place on October 22, 2015 in the Cigarettenfabrik, Halle Sihlquai 268 in Zurich at 6 pm. All gold, silver and bronze award-winning works, including shortlist nominations, will also be honored in a print and online publication.
