Homegate.ch: Axel Konjack becomes managing director

Axel Konjack will take over as CEO of the real estate portal Homegate.ch sometime in the summer of 2015. The 45-year-old has many years of experience in the media industry and is a proven online professional.

Konjack has been Managing Director of the official city portal Hamburg.de, a public-private partnership and majority holding of Axel Springer, since 2011. From 2006 to 2010, Konjack was Managing Director of the real estate portal Immonet.de, which also belongs to Axel Springer. In his previous professional positions, he worked as head of the Internet business segment at Axel Springer, and before that as project manager and investment manager in the corporate development department of Deutsche Mediengruppe. Axel Konjack holds a degree in business administration and studied economics at the University of Lyon, which is why he speaks fluent French as well as German and English. He succeeds Heinz M. Schwyter, who, as previously announced, will join the Board of Directors of Homegate at the beginning of August.

Christoph Brand, Head of Digital at Tamedia: "We are delighted to have Axel Konjack, a proven expert in the real estate classifieds market, as CEO of homegate.ch and are convinced that he will further expand homegate.ch's market leadership with his know-how and experience in the real estate industry."
