Expansion of the Sonntagsblick editor-in-chief

As of July 1, 2015, Katia Murmann will join the core team at Sonntagsblick and become a member of the editorial board. She will serve as the paper’s editor-in-chief and, in particular, will continue to drive the digital initiative forward.

Katia Murmann, team leader in the news department of the Blick Group newsroom, is moving internally to the SonntagsBlick core team as of July 1, 2015, and was simultaneously appointed to the editorial board by Editor-in-Chief Christine Maier. Murmann will primarily act as a page-turner for Sonntagsblick and will be responsible for the digital offensive of Switzerland's largest Sunday newspaper. Joining her on the SonntagsBlick management team, in addition to Christine Maier, are Philipp Pfister, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of SonntagsBlick, and Roland Grüter, Editorial Director of SonntagsBlick Magazine.

Katia Murmann, 34, returned to the newsroom of the Blick Group in Zurich in June 2013. She began her journalistic career in 2005 as a reporter at Blick and in the meantime worked for the then Sunday newspaper Der Sonntag in Baden and as Head of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Head of Focus at the Sonntagszeitung in Zurich.
