Last but not least: Fashion Victims
Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson's brief appearance at a Valentino fashion show makes any further promotion for their new movie unnecessary.
You can do the usual promo marathon - a hundred times the same questions from a hundred different TV stations - or you can come up with a campaign that will have the whole world talking about the new film shortly afterwards. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson managed to do just that at Paris Fashion Week. A brief appearance at a fashion show by star designer Valentino was enough to announce the sequel to their cult satire "Zoolander" from 2001.

In the now 14-year-old first film, Ben Stiller as supermodel Derek Zoolander ruthlessly takes stock of the New York fashion scene and the viewers' diaphragms. The appearance in the world of fashion shows, which often seems bizarre to outsiders, could not be more fitting. And it couldn't have been more successful: the campaign was shown and celebrated on all channels of the internet. A pretty successful start to a promotional phase that will continue for almost a year: The movie won't be released until February 2016. (hae)
