What is ink without paper? The NZZ digital subscription
Studio Roth&Maerchy is designing the Neue Zürcher Zeitung's new digital subscription campaign.
A newspaper reflects the world we live in, every day anew. The digital format has not changed this. The NZZ gives readers the same newspaper experience on paper as on smartphones, tablets and computers - information with depth, precisely researched and interpreted with attitude.
Studio Roth&Maerchy developed the campaign spot as well as all print and online communication media. Pablo Kirschke, Animation Director at Champignon Images, and the internationally renowned Zurich pianist Nik Bärtsch were brought in for the subtle implementation of the content and design concept. The result is a sensual dance of letters on their way from classic paper to digital format.
The commercial can be seen these days on SRF, various regional stations and online on the relevant channels. The campaign will be placed on subscription cards, in advertisements and various digital applications throughout the year.
Responsible at NZZ: Christian Stieger (Head of Customer Management), Milena Russ (Team Leader Direct Marketing). Responsible at Studio Roth&Maerchy: Martin Roth (creative direction, concept/text), Tatjana Egorow (art direction, graphics), Pablo Kirschke (animation, champignons.tv ), Nik Bärtsch (composition, piano), Ferrari/Dobozi (sound, post-production).
