Digital Marketing Award: New award category

The Oscars of the Swiss digital advertising industry, the Digital Marketing Award, will be presented for the fifth time on November 13, 2014, once again at Kaufleuten Zurich. This year, guests can look forward to a new award category.

In addition to the "Digital Marketer of the Year" and the "Digital Life Time Award", the "Digital Newcomer of the Year" will also be awarded. The evening will be hosted by comedian Guy Landolt. In the afternoon, the IAB Switzerland Association and presenting sponsor Newsnet will host the Digital Marketing Summit VIP event with exciting presentations, a keynote speech by well-known author Nicolas Clasen and a panel discussion.

In recent years, the Digital Marketing Award has established itself in Switzerland as the most important industry event in the digital advertising sector. Nominated and voted for by the IAB Board and all IAB specialist group members, the award is presented to a project or organization that has made a special contribution to the development of the digital advertising market in the current year. In addition to the existing categories "Digital Marketer of the Year" and "Digital Lifetime Award", there is a new award this year. The "Digital Newcomer of the Year" award will be presented to the person who has achieved the best performance in the final examination of the IAB Academy's basic course in the current year.

The nominees for "Digital Marketer of the Year"

Over 400 advertisers, agencies and interested parties are expected to attend the awards ceremony and the subsequent party. Top-class speakers at the "Digital Marketing Summit

In the afternoon, the Digital Marketing Summit will take place for the second time from 2 p.m., offering a series of exciting specialist presentations, case presentations and a keynote speech followed by a panel discussion. Florian Gmeinwieser, Managing Director of Plan.Net.mobile in Munich, will kick off the afternoon with his presentation "Omnichannel Communication - quo vadis?". Marc Marienfeld, Country Manager Germany of the branded entertainment platform Be On, will then explain how they drew attention to a new product for their client LG with a 2-minute commercial. The invited guests can then look forward to a presentation by Pablo Metz, Managing Director of mbr | targeting in Berlin, entitled "All physicists and mathematicians? I thought you were doing advertising! Using Real Since in Real Time!".

The highlight of this year's Digital Marketing Summit is the keynote speech by Nicolas Clasen. Nicolas Clasen is a freelance management consultant and author based in Munich. In his recently published book "The Digital Tsunami", he describes the dangers and opportunities of the current media transformation for publishers and TV broadcasters. His keynote speech is entitled "Online marketing: the failed model".

Finally, the participants of the VIP event can look forward to an exciting panel discussion. David Burst, Project Manager Media at the Federation of Migros Cooperatives, Roman Hirsbrunner, CEO at Jung von Matt/Limmat, Nicolas Clasen and representatives from marketing and publishing will come together to discuss the following topic: "Quality - Measurability - Reach.
