Publigroupe sells Personal to Matthias Ackeret
Publigroupe is selling Persönlich Verlags AG to its managing director and editor-in-chief, Matthias Ackeret. The two parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Matthias Ackeret has been Editor-in-Chief of Persönlich since September 1, 2002 and Managing Director since January 1, 2012.
The sale of Persönlich Verlag AG is the consequence of Publigroupe's strategic realignment, which had already begun prior to the purchase of Publigroupe by Swisscom and will continue to be implemented in consultation with the new owner. Publigroupe made this announcement in a press release on Thursday. In addition to Matthias Ackeret, Manfred Klemann is acting as investor. Manfred Klemann founded the European weather online portal Wetter.com in 2000. He is a resident of Switzerland and runs a book publishing company as well as an Internet business.
