SI shows the hundred most important Bernese women

Schweizer Illustrierte is taking a stand—for women. The magazine asked: Who are the 100 women making a difference in Bern? A jury has made its decision. The results can be found in the current issue. Other regions are set to follow.

According to a press release, the 21st century is the century of women - time for Schweizer Illustrierte to set an example for committed and successful women. A jury chaired by Dori Schaer, a former member of the Bernese government, has selected 100 Bernese women who are making a name for themselves in the city and canton of Bern and far beyond. Ten women were considered in each of ten categories. Stefan Regez, Editor-in-Chief of Schweizer Illustrierte: "Women are doing great things in business, politics and culture, in sports and on the show stage. With this issue, SI wants to set an example for committed and successful women."
