Hochuli defends herself against Weltwoche

Susanne Hochuli sees the *Weltwoche* as a tool to remove her from office. The weekly newspaper has published confidential statements made by the Green Party cantonal councilor.

As the NZZ am Sonntag reports in its current issue, the dispute between Hochuli and Weltwoche is going into the next round: The Department of Health and Social Affairs, which the woman from Aargau heads, has supplemented the criminal complaint filed at the beginning of September for breach of official secrecy. The complaint was filed because Weltwoche published confidential statements by Hochuli from commission meetings in its penultimate issue. The complaint has now been supplemented because Weltwoche again published statements from a parliamentary commission and online excerpts from commission minutes in its latest issue.

Hochuli is convinced that the reporting is systematic. The goal is to remove her from office as a person. Weltwoche would thereby "act as a vicarious agent of snipers". The author, Alex Reichmuth, did not wish to comment to the NZZ am Sonntag, and editor-in-chief Roger Köppel could not be reached for comment. The SVP faction in the Aargauer Grosser Rat and the Weltwoche accuse Hochuli, among other things, of budget violations and of not tendering services in the asylum system on time. (hae/NZZaS)
