Last but not least: The nineties were so much fun

Tamagotchi, dial-up modems and the millennium bug - Twix celebrates the nineties. The result is an extremely amusing campaign. As long as you remember.

Enough time has now passed to be able to view the strange characteristics of the nineties from a healthy distance. Fashion, music, technology - from today's perspective, it's all hilarious. The generation that lived out their childhood and teenage years back then and was shaped by the impressions it left behind has now grown up. They are affluent, enterprising - and ready to celebrate the decade of all decades. Advertising gratefully accepts this invitation. For example Microsoft with the "Child of the 90's"-campaign. Or the current Twix campaign by BBDO New York. It explains why the new "Twix Bites" were not launched back then. Whether endless dial-up chirping, virtual pets or inflatable sneakers - the nineties have rarely been parodied in such a funny way.

And finally, there is the fear that, at the turn of the millennium, the Millennium bugs everything that had anything to do with computers would collapse. Fortunately, things turned out differently. Otherwise we might have to watch the following commercials on old typewriters today. (hae)
