Last but not least: Obama offline - Pope@net
Barack Obama has never tweeted. The US President admitted this to students during his trip to Asia on Monday. His fingers are too clumsy to type things into his phone. Meanwhile, the Pope is stubbornly fighting against his dusty image.
So Obama's tweets are all fake - scandal! Some US blogs were disappointed by the revelation - after all, Obama's Twitter page is one of the most popular: 2.6 million "follow" him. Even if few really believed that Mr. President himself was responsible for the tweets, the truth still hurts a little.
While the head of the Americans does not really want to warm to modern technology, the head of the Catholics is stubbornly fighting against his outdated image: As Bishop Claudio Maria Celli told the TV station Italia 1 in an interview, the Pope appreciates the new technologies - he surfs the internet and writes emails. Who would have thought it? However, he does not seem to be overly enthusiastic about modern communication: although his electronic mail is sent by the Vatican, he does not have his own e-mail address, according to the bishop. Of course, the Pope cannot answer the millions of emails that arrive every day. "But I am sure that he prays for all those who write to him". And if you don't want to settle for a prayer, thank God you still have the opportunity to meet the Pope virtually on Pop2you.net.
