Rolf Cavalli becomes Head of Digital at Northwestern Switzerland
Rolf Cavalli, former Editor-in-Chief of Blick.ch, is to become the new Head of Digital Media for Northwestern Switzerland and a member of the Editorial Board. He will take up the position on April 1.
In his new role, Rolf Cavalli (45) will be responsible for the online and mobile platforms of Nordwestschweiz and all its editions. He is also closely involved in the further development of AZ Medien's digital offerings and represents Northwestern Switzerland on the central committees of the digital business, as the media company announced.
Rolf Cavalli studied general history, political science and German linguistics at the University of Zurich. He was most recently Chairman of the Blick Group Newsroom and Editor-in-Chief of Blick.ch from 2009 to 2013. He also managed Sonntagsblick on an interim basis from November 2012 to August 2013. Cavalli left Ringier at the same time as Andrea Bleicher (Werbewoche.ch reported), who was editor-in-chief of Blick on an interim basis from February to August.
Rolf Cavalli grew up in Winterthur and has three children.
