New media spokeswoman at Groupe E
Iris Mende joins the Communications and Public Affairs department of Groupe Affairs department of Groupe E. She is responsible for the coordination of public relations work and contact with the media, in particular German-language publications.
Iris Mende is a German national and holds a doctorate in philology from the University of Göttingen. After working in university teaching and research, she began her career at Groupe E in 2008 as a member of the Energy Directorate. Iris Mende has excellent knowledge of the energy sector and speaks fluent French and English in addition to her native German, according to a press release issued by the company on Thursday. She succeeds Christophe Kaempf, who served as media spokesperson until September 2013. The Groupe E media office now consists of Iris Mende, Media Spokesperson, and Nathalie Salamin, Head of Communications & Public Affairs.
