Last but not least: McNever Goodbye

Burger King Norway had had enough of fake Facebook fans and put its followers to the test with free Big Macs.

The Norwegian Burger King page has more than 38,000 Facebook followers. In social media jargon, people talk about "fans" - in reality, the connection with the liked companies is usually just as great as with 90 percent of the so-called "friends": People don't care about each other at best. Or in the case of fan pages: People post on the pinboard how much better the competition is. Burger King, or rather the Dist Creative agency, mucked out the wrong fans instead of boasting about high Like numbers. The old Facebook page was closed. Anyone who wanted to become a fan of the newly opened one had to...decline a Big Mac coupon. On the other hand, anyone who opted for the competition's parade burger was banned for life from the Burger King fan page in return. As part of the "Whopper sellout", Burger King reduced the number of followers on its fan page by 30,000, gave away a thousand Big Macs and has since lived in harmony with almost 9,000 loyal fast food fans.
